What do you mean you missed?

So this morning we started potty training Bryant. Last night I thought I was going to be so excited to do it, right now I'm not so sure what I was thinking. j/k
Yesterday while at Nana's house he told her that he needed to Poop so she took him to the toilet and lo and behold he did it. Later when I talked to her she told me that he's ready to train. (By the way, I'm not doing it just because my Mom said that he's ready, we've been thinking about it for a while). So, Tim and I went to the store last night and got him training underwear, dang things are so expensive, but thankfully reusable. It's going alright and we're doing the treat thing every time he goes and boy do we act like we've never been so excited for anything in our whole lives. Whoever reads this needs to leave me little notes on what worked for you or any advice you might have; it will help me feel reassured. Until next time, when you feel like crying just smile, that's what I'm going to do next time I'm cleaning up pee spots.

  1. Potty training was really hard with my first little boy. I did everything wrong and traumatized him. Then I tried everythng from candy rewards to sticker charts. Finally, one day, he was about 3 1/2 and I said it's time to wear underwear. He said ok and that was that. I guess for him the best thing was to wait until he was ready. I have a daughter who pretty much potty trained herself at 18 months but I waited until she was two to take away the diapers. I have another boy who is 20 months right now and showing signs of being ready to train, but i'm nervous considering what my first boy went through. I think the one thing to remeber is not to get mad at accidents(which is really hard!!!) Otherwise, I don't really think there is one right way to train. You'll figure out what is best for Bryant.

  2. Pretty much I think you are crazy! I have not heard of a successful boy being trained before age 3 so I am super impressed that Bryant is such a big boy! Good luck, it is really trying, but of course worth it when you see them in their adorable super hero undies at there ankles and they are leaning over a toilet! :)
